The construction of a narrative that we see truncated by absence, that is, the absence of documentation, a terrible reality that I put on the table, for reflection and subsequent critical analysis. The non-existent or partial history of Dolors Codina Arnau, the first Catalan mayoress (1), delves into the visible of her position on the obverse side, to the historical erasure and concealment mechanisms that have silenced women by the mere fact of being- it. Interests, equivocal ... Many have been the mechanisms of female sweeping; silences imposed or self-imposed (Dolors would sign as D. perhaps as a mechanism of concealment or masquerade), or the continued absence of women in the casuistry of traditional archives. Stories of families treated from power and the heteropatriarchal gaze. The story of Dolors is a story of men, of men like father, brothers, cousins ... From Francesc Codina Reixachs, the pater family. CIRCULAR ORDER, July 29, 1942 - title of this project - intertwines with many of these mechanisms of concealment and erasure, but especially with the purging and mass documentary destruction that takes place on 37, 38, 42 ... and forcing the destruction of official documentation from different organizations such as councils for the production of paper pulp, a historical event that will also mark the destruction of the archives of Dolors, the minutes and other official documents of the consistory, and therefore of its visibility, the silence of a narrative.
